Hello to all,
I want to express just how much the support given to me over these many months has made. As I think back to my struggles in the hospital, I remember nearly every instance when, late in the evening after when all the visitors had gone, my wife Blanca would read the many notes of encouragement and prayers from you all. Please know that with each word I truly found strength to survive.As of this posting my recovery is tracking along quite well. I had been going to physical/occup. therapy three times per week, but just recently have been 'upgraded' to just a once per month visit. Physically, the burns and skin grafts on my hands, arms, back, and face are doing well. I fight daily to regain full range of motion with my hands and arms-and so far I'm winning the fight. I've learned many things through this struggle- not least of which is the amazing strength and character found in so many Americans and just how proud it makes me to be your classmate. Blanca and I will soon be departing for a much awaited vacation to Europe! Will post a follow-up on our return. Take care and God bless.
