2. How do I request to resign my commission?

A written letter requesting to resign your commission should be sent to the Naval Reserve Personnel Center (Code N32), 4400 Dauphine Street, New Orleans, LA 70149-7800, with proper identifying information (Name, SSN, Address, DOB, Rank). If you qualify, you will be notified by the Naval Reserve Personnel Center. If you are a Selected Reservist, you must submit a request via your chain of command for approval authority.
