All, Some of you know my old office at the Pentagon got hit pretty hard by this.
Many are still missing, but among the survivors is Kevin Shaeffer. I saw him
in the hospital yesterday. He is in critical condition; he's covered head
to toe in bandages - burned over %90 of his body; he's got tubes run in his
mouth and his eyes are covered over with gel. But despite being badly
injured and mummified, he's alive and he's conscious. He can hear and he
understands. The doctor said that much of the battle ahead will be dependent on Kevin's
spirits; I believe this wholeheartedly as well. I'm bringing Kevin messages
from well wishers this afternoon, if you have any words of encouragement, or
want to forward this on to anyone else please do. Please help me keep
Kevin's spirits high. I've lost alot of people I was really close to over
there, and I don't want to lose another. r/ Jake |
