| '94, just got back from visiting Kevin along with Adan Cruz (who got married yesterday by the way). Lots of classmates are visiting, sending cards, emails (c/o Jake Zissu '96 at Jacob.Zissu@house.mail.gov) and providing incredible support in general. This has made the family feel better beyond description. Kevin's family is all set w/a ride for his sister, so wave off on that request. As i stated earlier POTUS/FLOTUS have visited Kevin; the CNO & Mrs Clark were there yesterday and SECNAV was due to visit later today. The Supe has sent word that Kevin and Blanca have seats in his box for Army-Navy. Anyone visiting should be prepared for seeing Kevin in a very serious state, (bandaged from head to toe, throat tube, a lot of meds, etc)--and he may or may not be able to talk w/you when you are there. its an hour by hour thing and clearly as one doctor put it--the time ahead will be "a marathon"--in that regard keep the support coming in the weeks & months ahead. It may sound weird but I cannot tell you the pride our class has brought to this one part of a national tragedy. Thank you for your time & keep it up '94! -Scott. |
